Nick Milo and Cornell Notes, Notes to Yourself and AI Confessions
Interesting tidbits from the Tools for Thought world this week
Nick Milo explains Cornell Notes
Today Nick Milo released a video on YouTube about Cornell Notes. I am so pleased that this concept of taking notes is getting so much attention. The Cornell Note technique doesn’t replace other methods, instead is a compliment to other methods.
What I really appreciate about Nick’s style is he explains the concept clearly and puts the concept into a real-world scenario that we can all relate to.
Check out his video.
I also am a big fan of Nick’s educational material; check him out his course Linking Your Thinking.
Notes to Future Self
I finally got around to writing up a note-taking practice I have used for some time. It is about writing my notes today in such a way that they will be helpful to me in the future.
I know that this statement sounds super apparent. But it is a very powerful motivator for improving the value of notes over the long term.

AI Confessions
There is a new online magazine starting this month called Collider. It focuses on concepts related to thinking. I wrote an article for them called The Power of Artificial Intelligence as a Thinking Partner: Embrace Its Importance. It is my confession of denying the value of AI in my note-taking and how I have changed my view.
The article has been well received, as I am not the only one dealing with hesitations and distrust toward AI. But I have learned we can manage our concerns with education and putting in place reasonable safety nets.
Update 3 to the Cornell Notes Learning Vault
