I mean this in the way a conversation is compared to a well crafted, written statement. Maybe it is the compression and mental abstraction of writing that can keep texts short and meaningful.

Thanks for this, I think your approach is exactly right. If we know what the problem is, then we can ask whether AI is a helpful tool to augment our problem-solving abilities. I think seasoned writers like you have the wisdom to see and understand this.
My biggest concern is for younger students just learning to write and wondering whether the same is true for them.
yes I may do that. It depends of course on the level of knowledge I have, but often I want to confirm the concept before going to much further.
