Obsidian has a plugin for Visual thinking....Excalidraw plugin which leverages open source Excalidraw and ties deeply into Obsidian via links and atomic visuals. Quite mature in itself but leveraging the drawing tools of Excalidraw. Good mind mapping capabilities as well.

Great long-form article on the emerging visual canvas integration with text-based note-taking tools. You didn’t use the term”mind mapping”. Do you think there is a difference?

I am so happy to anticipate CANVAS (not in the early-users group) thinking at last, we can have NOTES easily integrated in to visual space. What a boon to conceptualizing, thinking and remembering. I'm reading a lot lately on the role that grid cells, place cells etc have in the formation of place-memories. Visual tools allow the user to "place" objects in memory together for "idea sex" as they say. Sadly I learn that I must wait for CANVAS to equal Logsec's current level. Sigh.
